The Interior decorations of the Hall of Supreme Harmony is lavish and extravagant.
Although the Palace was looted in 1900 AD, and the most treasured items have disappeared since, the once mighty impression the Throne Room must have made lingers.
Inside are 6 large nanmu wooden pillars upholding the gaint wooden roof. The pillars, once imported from far away Sichuan Province, measure 13 meters high and have diameters of 1 meters and 6 centimeters.

Throne are gold-guilded and carved with motifs of dragons.
Above the Throne is a coffered ceiling covered in golden dragon designs. Suspended from a caisson in the ceiling is a spheric pearl named "The XuanYuan Mirror"
.
In the middle of the backwall stands the Main Piece of the Grandiose Hall, the Gold Guilded Dragon Throne. Itself standing on a platform and behind a gold-guilded dragon-motif screen, the Dragon Throne was the seat of Emperors and the heart of The Empire. Immediatly adjacent the exquisite throne on the platform are two small statues of Elephants.
